Constant dynamics and change are what have always interested me in Economics. From the beginning of my adventure with the Economics, I had the opportunity to observe and study the changes brought by the systemic transformation (transition from a planned to a free market economy) and its main driving factors – the inflows of foreign capital and the technological catching up in the infrastructure development, the reestablishment of the production systems, and reintegration with the European Union. My research study in the period of 2002-2006 was devoted to these problems. After them, came the entrepreneurship and the competitiveness of enterprises, driven by technological change, innovation, digitalisation and the development of the knowledge-driven economy. My research works covering the period of 2007-2017 have been devoted to the above issues and focused on the perspective of various highly advanced technology industries: biotechnology and aerospace. With the growing globalization of the world markets, further liberalization of the Chinese economy, and the growing role of offshoring, the global responsibility of enterprises of various industries and sectors for the ecological footprint and the quality of life on earth has increased. My recent research works (2018- ) focus on the social aspects of technological change, innovation networks, local innovation ecosystems and the environmentally friendly technologies.
